Mystery Monday Book Club @ the MSSCC: The Goodbye Coast
Calendar Date:
Monday, July 1, 2024 - 4:00pmThe Goodbye Coast by Joe Ide
Detective Philip Marlowe is vividly re-imagined in present-day Los Angeles.—a city of scheming Malibu actresses, ruthless gang members, virulent inequality, and washed-out police. Against his better judgment, Marlowe accepts two missing person cases — the first a daughter of a faded, tyrannical Hollywood starlet, and the second, a British child stolen from his mother by his father. (Mulholland Books )
The Mystery Monday Book Group meets at the Marjorie Stewart Senior Community Center on the first Monday of each month at 4pm. There are a limited number of books reserved for checkout behind the front desk of the Sherwood Library a month before the meeting to discuss that book. We look forward to reading with you! Please call 503-625-5644 with any questions or to register for the discussion (though registration is not required). 62+ CLICK HERE for the full list of 2024 club selections.
