November 5th, 2024 Election
Sherwood Council Positions
At the November 5th, 2024 General Election, Sherwood Voters will consider filling four expiring City Council positions: The Mayor position, which is a two-year term, and three Councilor positions, which are all four-year terms. All terms begin in January 2025.
Expiring Terms:
Mayor Tim Rosener - Mayoral candidate filing received 7/10/2024
Councilor Kim Young - Councilor candidate filing received 7/24/2024
Councilor Renee Brouse - Councilor candidate filing received 8/6/2024
Councilor Dan Standke - Councilor candidate filing received 8/13/2024
To be eligible to serve on the Sherwood City Council, candidates must be a Sherwood resident for one year at the time of election and must be a registered voter. To qualify for a ballot, a candidate can either submit a preapproved petition or can file by paying a $10 filing fee.

At the August 6, 2024 the City Council considered and adopted Resolution 2024-054 Approving Ballot Title And Explanatory Statement And Submitting To The Voters A Proposed Charter Amendment Regarding Council Compensation For Expenses Incurred While Conducting The City’s Business. Ballot Measure 34-340 will appear on the November 5, 2024 Washington County election ballot for Sherwood voter consideration.
