Engineering Design Standards
The purpose of this manual is to set standards for the construction of public improvements to serve new and future developments and for the reconstruction of existing facilities to upgrade existing infrastructure. These standards shall apply to all improvements within the public right-of-way, to all improvements required within the proposed public right-of-way of new residential, commercial, and/or industrial developments, for all improvements intended for maintenance by the City, and for all other improvements for which the City Code requires approval of the City Engineer. These improvements include, but are not limited to: streets, bikeways, paths and street lighting, and any other infrastructure improvements as required by the development review process, City Ordinance, and other City policies adopted by the City Council. Standards for site grading, erosion control, parking lot, and driveway construction on private property are also contained in this manual and referenced in the City Code.
