City Fills Finance Director and Economic Development Manager Positions
The City of Sherwood is excited to announce the recent selection for two key positions within our organization.
David Bodway III will begin as our new Finance Director on September 27, 2019. David currently serves as the Controller for Clackamas County and has worked for the county since August 2012. Prior to his experience at Clackamas County, he served in a variety of positions for Pauly, Rogers and Co., a local public auditing firm. David has a Bachelors in Finance from Linfield College and a Bachelors in Accounting from Portland State University. He recently completed the Executive Master of Public Administration at Portland State University in June 2019. David and his family reside here in Sherwood and have lived within our community since 2006.
Bruce Coleman will begin as our new Economic Development Manager on September 16, 2019. The Economic Development Manager is a newly created position intended to meet the City Council’s clear focus upon economic and business development within Sherwood. Bruce has decades of economic development experience including positions with the cities of Azusa (Los Angeles area) and Murrieta (San Diego area) in California and most recently, the McKinney Economic Development Corporation in the North Dallas community of McKinney, Texas. Bruce has an undergraduate degree in International Relations from George Washington University and a Masters in Urban and Regional Planning from California State University, Fresno.
