Marijuana Facilities in Sherwood
The Planning Commission and Police Advisory Board are in the process of creating legislation regarding recreational marijuana should the ban be lifted by Sherwood voters after the November 2016 election. See what has been done so far to the prepare rules.
The Council wants us to be prepared with recreational marijuana facilities rules in case voters give the OK for allowing these facilities in Sherwood. The ban does not impact medical marijuana dispensaries which are allowed in the industrial zones.

Marijuana License Types as determined by the Oregon Liquor Control Commission

PRODUCER:
Plant, cultivate, grow, manufacture or harvest marijuana.
Proposed to be in Light Industrial and General Industrial zones.
PROCESSOR:
Process, compound or convert marijuana into cannabinoid products, concentrates or extracts. Processing does not include packaging or labeling.
Proposed to be in Light, General, and Employment Industrial zones.
WHOLESALERS:
The wholesale distribution of marijuana, cannabinoid products, and miscellaneous items to a person other than a consumer.
Proposed to be in General Commercial, Light Industrial, General Industrial and Employment Industrial zones.
RETAILERS:
Sell and/or deliver marijuana directly to consumers.
Proposed to be in General Commercial, Light Industrial, General Industrial and Employment Industrial zones.
LABORATORY OR RESEARCH:
A building or structure used in whole or in part for testing or researching marijuana items. Licensed by the OLCC.
Proposed to be in General Commercial, Office Commercial, Retail Commercial, Light Industrial, General Industrial and Employment Industrial zones.
No marijuana facilities are allowed in Neighborhood Commercial or in the Old Town Overlay.
